I’m a freelance health content writer originally from the UK, but I’ve lived in Spain for the past 30 years. When I was a child, I used to watch my Nan, who was a nurse, look after the elderly residents of her small care home. I loved those elderly residents and would sit for hours listening to their stories. I didn’t become a nurse, but it gave me a love of storytelling. 

I came to health writing through lived experience too — as a caregiver, I know first-hand how hard it is to find clear, useful information when you’re in the middle of something frightening and the next specialist appointment feels a long way away.
